As for not wanting “a Jesus freak quoting a whole bible …”, the Lord can talk to you personally. Unload on Him your concerns. Check out and see what the Bible has to say.
Instead of a “Jesus Freak” find a good friend who has been there and can offer good advice and empathy. Don’t rule out churches and ministry groups as a source of good friends. After all, you are seeking.
As for being “stuck at a dead end job,” I don’t believe it! You’re still young, still seeking, still learning. Every once in a while, we all find ourselves doing work that is required rather than desired. That’s ok. Keep searching and have Faith … There is no doubt that your prospects will improve — especially after graduation.
Philippians 1:6 (Amplified Bible)
6And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.
Yep, couldn’t agree with you more. As we move ahead in our exercise of faith, He might just grow the talents we have. Just as physical exercise causes our muscles to grow and strengthen, exercise of our faith will cause us to grow and strengthen spiritually.
Great observation!
